You will find Aztec’s Treasure to be quite an interesting experience, a slot machine from RTG that offers you a combination of 5 reels and 20 betlines, which requires bets of up to $100 and offers in return a chance for a progressive jackpot. The focus of the theme is clear enough, being on the civilization of the Aztec people, natives of South America long before Europeans have found the continent. Wild symbols are present in the game, as they often are, but then so are scatter symbols and free spins.

The game resorts to a rather standard list of features, so you will find both the wild and the scatter symbols in there, along with a decent quantity of free spins.

The free spins require the present of either 3, 4 or 5 scatter symbols with idols on them. The result will be a round of either 5, 15 or 25 free games. You get a multiplier which triples prizes for the duration of the free games, plus the chance to retrigger them if you get lucky again.

The same scatter symbol that gives you free spins has some decent payouts to offer as well, on top of the already decent reward that they represent. The presence of three to five scatter symbols, in any position in the game, will give you a multiplier prize for the total bet, of either 3x, 15x or 100x. With the top bet in play, that could mean up to $10,000 cash plus the 25 free spins with 3x multipliers. Not bad at all for having five symbols in random positions, not even on the same line.

The stacked wild is the other major Aztec’s Treasure feature. Though it can take over multiple positions on the same reel, the wild is only permitted on the reels 2 to 4, so the 1st and 5th reels don’t get the benefit of its presence. Thanks to its ability to help the player get new combinations formed, the wild is a valuable tool in the arsenal of any player.

The design, while not special in any major way, it’s easy enough to understand and shouldn’t be an issue while you’re playing this slot machine.

Aztec’s Treasure is the kind of game that you try out when you want a decent experience, with a known set of features that give you a solid return on your investment. It’s not the kind of game where you play for an immersive experience though, it just doesn’t have the graphics for it.
